Verify if your residency medical exam results (blood test, infectious screenings, and chest X-ray) have been electronically transmitted to Jawazat (Passports).

Required: Border Number (or Iqama Number) + Mobile Number Access MOH Portal ↗

Every foreign national arriving in Saudi Arabia on a new employment visa must undergo a mandatory Medical Fitness Examination at an accredited clinic or hospital before their first residency permit (Iqama) can be printed. The physical medical slips of the past are discontinued; approved medical centers transmit test findings electronically through the Ministry of Health's Efada network directly to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat).

Tests Conducted for Residency Fitness

Accredited medical clinics examine for transmissible and chronic conditions:

  • Blood Screening: Tests for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and blood type.
  • Chest Radiography (X-Ray): Examination for active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB).
  • General Examination: Vision, blood pressure, and physical mobility.

How to Verify That Your Medical is Sent to Jawazat

Once you complete your laboratory tests, follow these verification steps:

  1. SMS Notification: When the laboratory approves the samples, the Ministry of Health sends an automated SMS to your registered Saudi mobile: "Your medical report has been successfully sent to the General Directorate of Passports."
  2. Verification via Absher:
    • Log in to Absher.sa.
    • Go to My Services > Inquiries > Passports.
    • Check your pending application status to verify whether the medical prerequisite indicator reflects as Completed (تم الفحص).
  3. What If the Result is Delayed? Electronic synchronization typically takes between 24 to 72 hours. If your employer cannot issue your Iqama after three days, contact the diagnostic clinic with your Border Number to ensure the laboratory technician officially validated the submission on the Efada portal.
