Verify your sponsoring company's Saudization classification color tier (Platinum, High Green, Medium Green, or Red) and legal operating status in the labor market.

Required: Iqama Number (or Commercial Registration / 700 Number) Check Nitaqat Status ↗

In Saudi Arabia, the Nitaqat (نطاقات) system categorizes all private commercial establishments based on their Saudization percentage (the ratio of Saudi nationals to foreign employees). Checking your sponsoring employer's Nitaqat color rating is critical because a company's tier determines whether it can legally renew your Iqama, issue work permits, or authorize job mobility.

Step-by-Step: How to Check Company Nitaqat Color

  1. Access the official labor electronic inquiry tool: MHRSD Labor Services Portal.
  2. Navigate to Electronic Services (الخدمات الإلكترونية) > Inquire About An Expatriate Employee (الاستعلام عن موظف وافد).
  3. Enter your 10-digit Iqama Number (or Border Number).
  4. Select your Nationality from the dropdown list.
  5. Enter the image verification captcha code shown on the screen.
  6. Click Search (بحث).
  7. Scroll down to view your live employment record:
    • Legal Status: (On the Job / Regular).
    • Establishment Entity Evaluation: Displays your company's official Nitaqat tier (e.g., Platinum, High Green, Medium Green, Low Green, or Red).
    • Establishment License: Indicates whether the company's municipal and commercial licenses are active or expired.

What Does Your Company's Nitaqat Color Mean?

  • Platinum & High Green: Fully compliant companies. They have full access to visa quotas, work permit issuances, and employee sponsorship transfers.
  • Medium / Low Green: Compliant with minimum thresholds, able to maintain existing employees but with restricted expansion quotas.
  • Red (Non-Compliant): The company failed to meet mandatory Saudization ratios. Under Saudi Labor Mobility regulations, foreign employees in Red category firms can transfer to another company on Qiwa without requiring the current employer's consent or permission.
