Verify on Absher ↗
Expatriates residing in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with family members (spouse and children) registered under their personal sponsorship are required to pay the Dependent Fee (رسوم المرافقين). Because this fee must be prepaid in full before renewing family Iqamas or issuing Exit Re-Entry visas, understanding how to calculate and pay it through Sadad is essential.
How the Dependent Fee is Calculated
The standard rate is fixed at SAR 400 per month for each individual dependent (wife/husband and children):
- 1 Dependent for 1 Year (12 Months): 1 × 400 × 12 = SAR 4,800
- 2 Dependents for 1 Year: 2 × 400 × 12 = SAR 9,600
- 3 Dependents for 1 Year: 3 × 400 × 12 = SAR 14,400
Step-by-Step: How to Pay Dependent Fees via Bank App
You can settle dependent fees through any Saudi retail mobile banking app (e.g., Al Rajhi, SNB, Riyad Bank, Alinma):
- Log in to your mobile banking application.
- Select SADAD Payments > Government Payments & Refunds.
- Choose the category: Alien Control (الجوازات / إدارة الأجانب).
- Under the service dropdown, select: Associate Expatriate Fee (رسوم المرافقين) or Payment of Dependent Fees.
- Enter your Iqama Number (the primary sponsor's ID).
- Specify the target renewal expiration date or duration.
- The bank app will automatically query the Jawazat billing system and display the exact pending amount down to the halala.
- Click Confirm Payment. The transaction settles immediately in the Ministry of Interior database, unlocking visa and residency renewal buttons on Absher.
